Exploring Barriers to Implementing Industry 4.0 in Indian Construction Industry

This study examines barriers to Industry 4.0 adoption in the Indian construction industry through a quantitative analysis of 225 professionals. Key obstacles identified include technological, financial, skill-based, organizational, cultural, regulatory, and infrastructural challenges, with regulatory and cultural barriers having the most significant impact on adoption rates. The findings provide insights into the challenges hindering the integration of advanced technologies, emphasizing the need for targeted strategies to overcome these barriers. Addressing these issues is crucial for improving productivity, efficiency, and innovation within the construction sector.
