The Civics course is an important part of the current teaching in colleges and universities, and it is very necessary to analyze the factors affecting the teaching effect of the Civics course. Based on 262 questionnaires, a model of factors influencing the teaching effect of Civics courses was established using structural equation modeling with the course Introduction to Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics in the Xi Jinping Era as an example. By analyzing the results of the final model, it is concluded that the teacher aspect, the student aspect, the course content and the teaching method are the most important factors influencing the teaching effect.
