摘要

This chapter focuses on airport construction in permafrost and seasonally frozen soil areas, elaborating on core engineering problems such as foundation frost heaving, thaw settlement and concrete pavement freeze-thaw damage, which are caused by soil properties, groundwater conditions and temperature changes. It expounds on the principles of geological site selection, emphasizing the importance of frozen soil distribution, hydrogeology and topography. In terms of design, it covers frost heaving and thaw settlement control, frozen soil bearing capacity and concrete durability, as well as drainage system design. Additionally, it introduces domestic and foreign foundation treatment technologies, including replacement, thermal insulation, dynamic consolidation and pre-thawing, and takes Mohe Airport as a typical case to verify the effectiveness of relevant measures.
