Hydraulic Engineering in Frozen Soil Regions
摘要
The chapter focuses on water conservancy works in seasonally frozen soil and permafrost regions, analyzing their distinct frost damage mechanisms caused by frost heave, thaw settlement and thermal erosion. It elaborates on engineering design particularities for such areas, and details anti-frost damage measures for flat, pile/column/pier foundations, involving foundation soil improvement, water/temperature/stress condition regulation and structural optimization. Additionally, it discusses permafrost engineering problems of reservoirs, such as bank reconstruction, siltation and leakage, and proposes targeted prevention and control strategies, providing comprehensive technical guidance for hydraulic construction in frozen soil regions.
