Bridge, Culvert and Tunnel Engineering in Frozen Soil Regions
摘要
This chapter focuses on bridge, culvert, and tunnel engineering in frozen soil regions, analyzing the influence of frost heave, thaw settlement, and ice jam on the stability of these projects. Based on an analysis of the engineering characteristics, and disease types and causes, the chapter systematically elaborates on the design principles, foundation selection, construction methods, and protective measures for bridges, culverts, and tunnels, with an emphasis on key technical issues such as the thermodynamic impact of pile foundations and the effect of freeze-thaw cycles. It provides theoretical and practical references for the design, construction, and maintenance of transportation engineering in frozen soil regions.
