Since 1992, the major of industrial engineering has been set up in more than 100 colleges and universities. One of the basic functions of colleges and universities is to cultivate talents. Based on the teaching papers of the Industrial Engineering major published in domestic journals, this paper uses the knowledge graph method to analyze the hot issues and development trends of teaching research. The results show that the overall number of teaching papers on the Industrial Engineering major has been increasing, but there is relatively little cooperation among colleges and universities. At different times, the focuses of teaching research are different. The construction of new engineering/new liberal arts, as well as the integration of ideological education into courses, are the hot topics in the teaching research of the Industrial Engineering major at present and for a certain period in the future.
