Variations and Congenital Anomalies of the Female Genital Tract
摘要
In patients with variations and congenital anomalies of the female genital tract, an accurate differential diagnosis is crucial for detecting combined abnormalities, choosing further diagnostic examinations, and finally establishing a treatment strategy. Because altered morphology of the female genital tract is closely related with where and when the abnormal development originated, exquisite observations of the size, location, and shape provide key information for accurate differential diagnosis. Among many image modalities, MRI is most often recommended, because it not only allows a detailed evaluation of target organs but also extends the examination coverage for detecting accompanying abnormalities in remote organs.
