Obstetric and Gynecologic Vascular Interventions
摘要
With the introduction of microcatheter technology and accumulation of clinical experience about transcatheter arterial management of various diseases in other parts of the body, there is a significant recent progress in the endovascular management of obstetric and gynecologic diseases. The results of recent investigations say that embolotherapy can be a safe and effective alternative to surgical options in the management of uterine myomas, pregnancy-related hemorrhage, and uterine arteriovenous malformations. Ovarian vein and/or internal iliac vein embolization is a useful nonsurgical option for pelvic congestion syndrome. Intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy can be tried for uterine cervical carcinoma.
