Vascular Diseases of the Female Pelvis
摘要
Vascular abnormalities in the female pelvis include conditions like uterine arteriovenous malformations (AVM), fistulae (AVF), aneurysms, and puerperal ovarian vein thrombophlebitis. Although these vascular diseases are generally rare, they pose a significant threat due to the potential for massive uterine bleeding or sepsis. In contrast, pelvic congestion syndrome, caused by pelvic varicosities, is a relatively common venous issue resulting in chronic pelvic pain. While many lesions show spontaneous resolution during follow-up, there is an increasing clinical trend toward using arterial embolization (UAE) as a primary treatment method.
