Although these vascular diseases are generally rare, they pose a significant threat due to the potential for massive uterine bleeding or sepsis. In contrast, pelvic congestion syndrome, caused by pelvic varicosities, is a relatively common venous issue resulting in chronic pelvic pain. While many lesions show spontaneous resolution during follow-up, there is an increasing clinical trend toward using arterial embolization (UAE) as a primary treatment method.
