With the rise of renewable energy and the development of smart grids, the operation mode of traditional power systems is facing unprecedented challenges. In this context, the concept of “source-grid-load-storage” and active distribution network came into being, which aims to realize the optimal allocation of energy production, transmission, consumption, and storage, so as to enhance the stability, reliability, and economy of the system. In this paper, we will discuss how to design a flexible and interconnected source-grid-load-storage cooperative active distribution network, and analyze its importance to the modern power system.
