Evaluation of Isolated Operation of a Wind Energy System Connected to Unbalanced Non-linear Loads
摘要
Connecting an unbalanced load abruptly to an Isolated Wind Energy Conversion System can affect both the voltage and frequency of the load. These impacts can be reduced by employing a suitable controller and PWM technique in the Isolated Wind Energy Conversion System (IWECS). The system incorporates a Load Current Observer (LCO) to monitor transient behavior, an Adaptive Voltage Controller to lower Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), and a Unified Space Vector Pulse Width Modulator (USVPWM) to manage the inverter’s output voltage and frequency. This study simulates the IWECS using MATLAB/Simulink, integrating LCO, AVC, and the USVPWM technique, and examines the resulting data.
