摘要

Side suction wet spray booths are widely used in automobile manufacturing for coating processes. During operation, paint mist particles mix with air and are captured by water in the water-gas separator to prevent environmental pollution and damage to the air-conditioning system. Optimizing the structure of the paint mist separator is crucial for better gas-water separation. This paper conducts a finite element flow field analysis to optimize the separator structure by varying inlet air velocity, baffle area and number, and spraying velocity. The optimal structure achieves improved water-gas separation efficiency compared to the original design. Reducing paint mist velocity at the separator inlet, increasing baffle number, and adding spraying are effective methods to enhance the separator’s performance.
