This article focuses on the simulation analysis of hardness in laser quenching of medium carbon steel. Firstly, the theoretical calculations of hardness were analyzed. Subsequently, a hardness testing system for medium carbon steel undergoing laser quenching is established. Finally, a simulation analysis model is constructed based on the COMSOL Multiphysics simulation platform. The accuracy of the simulation analysis model for hardness in laser quenching of medium carbon steel is verified by comparing it with experimental results. The results indicate that the simulation errors for hardness are relatively small, whereas the errors for the size of the hardened layer are more significant.
