In this short paper we introduce “Cheerbot”, a prototype socially assistive robot designed using the temi robot platform for use in workplaces to promote wellbeing amongst staff. We outline the development of Cheerbot and discuss emerging findings from a trial deployment. These findings point towards the potential for Cheerbot to be useful and acceptable as a workplace wellbeing aid.
