In the pursuit of happiness and Ananda (bliss), foundational to human existence, lies the essence of all human endeavors. However, in the present disconnected world, characterized by violence, abuse, burnout, and loneliness, the quest for true fulfillment seems elusive. Drawing from Indian traditional wisdom, this chapter delves into the concept of self-attunement as a pathway to collective flourishing. It explores the inward journey towards Ananda, highlighting the disconnect between personality and self, often rooted in falsehood and deprivation. Indian traditional Knowledge offers valuable insights encapsulated in the Vedas, the Upanishads, and similar texts to recognize our true nature and uncover the source of Ananda, bliss within us. Central to this journey is the recognition of interconnectedness, emphasizing the intrinsic unity of all beings and the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family). The chapter also illustrates the balance of innate drives of ‘becoming’ and ‘belonging’, the scope of Indian traditional knowledge contributing to achieving Sustainable Development Goals, and fostering collective well-being.

摘要
