摘要
In this chapter, we synthesise and discuss the four university English instructors’ LAL needs and profiles. University English instructors have four major LAL needs: knowledge of language assessment, language assessment skills, principles of language assessment and assessment identity. Different from Taylor’s LAL profile for language teachers, the LAL profile for university English instructors we proposed embraces eight components with suggested levels. We revisit their LAL development trajectories and address research questions by discussing the complexities and the process of LAL development within specific work contexts.
