Cabbage is an important member of the cole group of vegetables belonging to the family Brassicaceae. In cabbage, head characteristics and related head traits, agronomic, disease resistance, and abiotic stress resistance traits are the prime targets of cabbage breeders. Unravelling the genetic basis of these complex quantitative and qualitative traits is the principal objective of genetics. Much progress has been made in revealing the QTLs underlying different complex traits in cabbage. In the era of genomics, state-of-the-art tools such as association mapping, QTL-seq, and genotyping by sequencing have accelerated the identification of QTLs linked with complicated traits in crop species. These innovative tools have also been proved effective in cole vegetables, and their progress has been highlighted in this chapter. Among the cole group of vegetables, cabbage is a crucial component in a balanced human diet. GWAS and QTL analysis have been exploited commercially in cole crops in pursuit of determining the genetics of complex traits. This chapter provides a comprehensive view of the status of QTL mapping in cabbage in the era of genomics.

摘要
