Jatra in Translation
摘要
This final chapter undertakes a comparative translation of two scenes from two significant jatra productions, Nati Binodini (1973) by Brojendra Kumar Dey and Champadangar Bou (2021) by Anol Chakraborty, drawn from two different centuries—the twentieth and the twenty-first to examine and present how different modalities of these productions construct meaning and identify themselves as modern.
