Overview of Journal-Thrust Coupled Bearings for Diesel Engine Crankshafts
摘要
The journal-thrust coupled (JTC) bearing in diesel engine (as shown in Fig. 1.1) operates under complex load and high working temperature. Under extreme working conditions, it supports the crankshaft and prevents its axial movement through the lubrication of journal and thrust parts. Unlike conventional journal bearing and thrust bearing, the JTC bearing contains both these two parts and there is a definite coupled relationship between the two parts. At present, there are few studies on this type of bearing, and the research on the continuity mechanism of the journal part and thrust part of the bearing is still unclear. This chapter introduces the form and function of the journal-thrust coupled bearing for diesel engine crankshaft.
