Carbon is an essential building block of life. The slight increase in its percentage causes a catastrophic change in the life cycle pattern on mother earth. The excess carbon can be stored through proper carbon geoengineering and carbon sequestration. Carbon sequestration involves the seizure of its mixtures beginning the surrounding, which reduces the development of the greenhouse effect. The pre- and post-combustion capture also helps less carbon accumulation in the environment. Through soil sequestration, the balance or equilibrium of soil carbon content is maintained by the coordination between intake (absorption of CO2 by plants and its sustainability in soil) and losses (majorly by soil erosion). The study deals with the data relevant to carbon sequestration and related issues.

摘要
