The Just City: Institutional and Spatial Justice, Social and Distributive Justice, Concepts and Conceptions of Justice

  • Stefano Moroni

摘要

In the fields of planning theory there is growing discussion of the just city. This chapter revisits the issue of the just city in light of some crucial background questions. The aim of the chapter is not to contribute directly to the development of a specific substantive idea of the just city; instead, it is to highlight fundamental methodological and analytical caveats that are crucial in this regard. The chapter focuses on three main issues: (urban) institutions as the first subject of justice; the distinction between the concept and the conceptions of social justice; the incomplete overlap between social justice and distributive justice.
