Digital transformation has become the core path to improve the efficiency of education public services and enhance people’s well-being. Under the national “Digital China” strategic framework (Central Committee of the Communist Party of China & The State Council, 2023), the education sector is promoting a deep transformation of the service model from “management-oriented” to “service-oriented” through technology empowerment and process reengineering (Li & Chen, 2024). Xiamen’s “One-stop education enrollment” reform and Guangzhou’s “Smart Sunshine Recruitment and Examination” system construction, as typical practices of digital education services for the benefit of the people, have formed replicable solutions in enrollment services and examination management scenarios respectively. This article will systematically analyze the practical experience of the two places from four dimensions: service process reconstruction, technology integration and application, data governance innovation, and cross-domain collaborative mechanism. Combining national policy orientation and national regional practices, this article will refine the implementation points of digital education services for the benefit of the people, and provide theoretical and practical references for the modernization of education governance.
