Facial Overfilled Syndrome (FOS): Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, and Management
摘要
Facial overfilled syndrome (FOS) is a progressively disfiguring complication arising from excessive or improperly administered dermal filler injections. While dermal fillers have revolutionized aesthetic medicine by addressing volume loss and aging, their misuse can result in unnatural facial contours, excessive fullness, and distortion of facial proportions. The widespread adoption of hyaluronic acid (HA) and non-HA fillers has significantly increased the prevalence of FOS, necessitating heightened clinical awareness [1, 2].
