摘要
This chapter debates technology protocols asking whether hybrid workers are always on? It explores connection versus disconnection, trust, and questions the spectre of monitoring and surveillance. It outlines the lighter side of online meetings asking: ‘What’s going on in the chat?’ The chapter depicts how fun and humour can be portrayed in informal online channels such as Slack or Kahoot while different platforms may be used to conduct more formal and larger meetings. The chapter concludes with some helpful hints and practical points to consider in online meetings which are an essential part of most hybrid work.
