Psychological Safety in Hybrid Fun
摘要
Psychological safety is important in hybrid work and equally so when it comes to participating in fun and play activities. Psychological safety is a shared belief, held by a team or wider group, that it is safe to share ideas, concerns, ask questions, admit mistakes and speak up without fearing negative consequences. This is important when deciding whether to opt in, or out, of fun activities. Fun shared in hybrid work may involve sharing personal information, photos, views of one’s home and family, or articulating alternative viewpoints, laughable mistakes, and the lighter side of work. All of this requires psychological safety, and this concept is rarely linked to the concepts of fun, play, and humour at work.
