This chapter outlines practices and perspectives adopted by People and Culture teams, senior leaders, and workers in their attempts to maintain and promote collegiality, collaboration, team connection, and play, as artefacts of a thriving organisational culture within hybrid work. The focus is on the social aspects of work and how the move to hybrid work is changing workplace events and activities. There are specific workplace examples illustrating changes in social dynamics brought about through hybrid work. The Chapter first defines overlapping notions of fun, play, and humour and their role in workplace culture and work relationships, then offers a typology of workplace fun, exemplified through reflections from people working within fun cultures and in hybrid work modes.
