The characteristics of the hydrogen energy industry align with the inherent requirements of China’s development of a circular economy, and it will play a prominent role in energy conservation and reuse. More than 30 economies worldwide have released hydrogen energy strategies, and China has also issued a medium and long-term development plan for the hydrogen energy industry, pointing the way for industrial development. Currently, the hydrogen energy industry faces the challenge of high costs, which must be alleviated through advancements in technology and focused support from green finance. In the future, hydrogen energy is projected to become a unified carrier for regional energy, including electricity supply and heating, potentially creating hydrogen energy communities, towns, and cities. This would provide key solutions for global climate change and help reshape the harmony between humans and nature.
