Study on the Influence of Joint Stiffness on Behavior of Underground Tunnel Lining Joints Using Finite Element Method
摘要
The significance of underground infrastructure in urbanization has just recently come to light. Most developed nations are looking forward to expanding their underground space for different functions that help to reduce congestion, like storage purposes, transportation, and research activities. Nowadays metro underground tunnels are one such option, which is rapidly increasing to ease public transport. The purpose of the study is to understand the influence of joint stiffness in the radial joints of segmental tunnel lining by a deformation-based method using the 2D transversal section finite element method. Additionally, the sensitivity of internal forces to the behaviour of tunnel lining joints is examined, highlighting how jointcharacteristics indirectly influence the overall structural response of the lining.
