Experimental and Analytical Behaviour of Geopolymer Composite Beams with Angle Connectors in U-Shaped Steel Girder
摘要
This research mainly focuses on analysing the behaviour of geopolymer composites beams with angle connectors in U-Shaped steel girders in different angles. For this study, five different composite beams, CB1 and CB2 contains angle connector welded in top flange of composite beam by tilting in 135 and 112.5° and in CB3 and CB4 contains angle connector welded at top web of composite beam by tilting in 135 and 112.5° and CB5 is connected with shear stud welded at top flange of composite beam were initially analytically analysed by using ANSYS and optimum models were experimentally analysed. To make an ecofriendly concrete, geopolymer concrete of M30 grade has been used. From the results, it was found that the experimental and analytical results shows that angle connector welded on the top flange of the steel girder have higher shear transfer capacities than these welded to web of the steel girder and by comparing the specimen CB1 & CB5 which have different connectors shows that the specimen CB1 is stiffer than the specimen CB5 and can be concluded that angle connectors can be used for construction purpose.
