Virtual Reality for Multilingual Language Learning
摘要
Virtual reality is revolutionizing the landscape of multilingual language learning by creating immersive, interactive, and contextually rich environments that bridge the gap between traditional classroom instruction and real-world language use. This paper explores the transformative potential of adopting VR in multilingual education, highlighting its ability to simulate authentic cultural and linguistic settings, foster active learning, and personalize educational experiences. By leveraging VR, learners can engage in realistic dialogues, practice in diverse scenarios, and gain exposure to various dialects and cultural nuances, accelerating language acquisition and retention. The study also examines the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) within VR platforms to enhance real-time feedback and adaptive learning pathways. Challenges, including accessibility, cost, and the need for teacher training, are addressed, alongside strategies for scalable implementation. Ultimately, this research underscores VR’s role as a pivotal tool in preparing learners for global communication, enabling a deeper understanding of multilingual and multicultural contexts, and shaping the future of language education.
