摘要

IoV is the abbreviation of Internet of Vehicles, and it is the subset of IoT in transportation. It enables seamless communication between vehicles, infrastructure, pedestrians, and cloud platforms to create a dynamic ecosystem to support intelligent transportation systems. An intelligence vehicle shares the information with the other nearby vehicles. In the IoV, the blockchain gives secure transactions and management of data. Blockchain is perfectly well applicable to provide security of data with respect to data integrity and availability. Blockchain provides superior security compared with other security techniques. Cloudcomputing has its impact in IoV perticularly in the storage and management of vast quantities of data that connected vehicles, infrastructure, and other IoT devices create. Cloud platforms act as centralized storage for all those sources, including sensors, cameras, GPS systems, and traffic management systems. This way, data centralization allows easy access for further analysis and proper decision-making. Within the cloud, historical data provides traffic patterns, driver behavior, and road conditions for future planning, predictive analytics, and AI model training. This data is highly critical for improved traffic management, land-use planning, and self-driving technology. Transportation 5.0 is an anticipative transportation system, and this would be a fully automatic traffic management system. Different Types of Basic and Emerging Technologies are collaborating with one another to control the autonomous vehicle without driver intervention. This chapter then handles IoVs where Cloud as well as blockchain are having strong role to play in the development of Transportation 5.0 by devising applications, impacts, and interconnections.
