Evaluating Stay-in-Place UPVC Formwork: Cost, Benefits, and Implementation in Construction
摘要
This study examines the practicality of applying stay-in-place UPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) formwork as an alternative to current construction field formwork technologies. The quantitative research approach evaluates the performance along with financial efficiency and time efficiency of UPVC formwork versus established materials aluminum and oak. The paired t-test method evaluated statistical differences between the two studied systems. The research demonstrates that UPVC formwork has shorter overall construction time and better structural performance and matches existing pricing levels. These research findings provide valuable advice for construction professionals who want to use UPVC to enhance project sustainability as well as efficiency.
