Sustainability is a major revolution in the construction industry. The industrial wastes are transformed into internal curing agents thereby substitution of traditional aggregates and reducing the utilization of curing water for structural members especially for achieving High Strength Concrete (HSC) and Ultra High Strength Concrete (UHSC). The durability properties are also equally vital with other factors of strength. The wastes and natural forms of internal curing (IC) agents assure durability as well as strength parameters nearer to conventional concrete (CC) especially the recycled aggregates, bio mixtures, superabsorbent polymers (SAP) and porous materials as lightweight aggregate (LWA). Various sources are reviewed and the impacts of various IC agents on strength and durability parameters are highlighted in this paper. The substitution of aggregates with IC agents is nearly 10 to 25% which is obtained effectively from various literature sources. They also express that the strength is nearly the same and the rate of increase is ineffective over the period after 28 days and shows improved interfacial zone (ITZ) development and crack resistance in comparison to CC.

摘要
