Virtual reality technology is applied to museums and Notre Dame de Paris is chosen as a study object. Using graphic functions, the audience can enjoy Notre Dame de Paris online without time and space constraints with the best audio-visual effects. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect feedback data from students and experts. The effect of the virtual reality museum tour was verified showing that virtual reality (VR) guided tours are supported with great potential. VR museums provide a vivid and interactive experience that attracts visitors and enhances their understanding and interest in history and culture. Feedback from visitors indicates that VR enhances the tour experience and provides contextual information and multimedia content, making the tour deeper and richer. The results of this study support the application of VR technology to museums’ guided tours and provide a reference for the development of the museum. Further research and improvements are still needed to meet the needs of different audience groups.
