Aggression, Depression, Anxiety and Stress in Violent Video Game Players and Non-Violent Video Game Players

The present study aimed to compare the level of aggression, depression, anxiety and stress in violent and non-violent video game players. Two hundred players (100 violent video game players and 100 non-violent video game players) in the age range of 18–30 years participated. The Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS-21) and The Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BP-AQ), was used. The study found that aggression, depression, anxiety and stress in violent video game players to be higher than in non-violent video game players.
