Bibliometric Analysis: Role of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain in Boosting the Blue Economy
摘要
This chapter highlights the latest developments that have occurred over the years in the marine economy, with the use of artificial intelligence and blockchain as key enablers, driving its growth. Techniques like deep learning, the Internet of Underwater Things (IoUT), and blockchain have played crucial roles in boosting the marine economy. The themes that have evolved focus more on sustainability and innovation in the blue economy, disaster handling and waste management, the use of automation in supply chain management (SCM), the digitalisation of fisheries, and human resource development in the blue economy, to encourage more private and public sector participation. With the help of predictive modelling techniques and decision support systems, many marine economy issues have been identified, like coral bleaching, oceanic disruption and sea level temperature. A comprehensive study of the current literature for gauging the outcome of artificial intelligence and blockchain on the blue economy, which is both qualitative and quantitative. This body of work identifies the themes that have evolved and focuses on the challenges and opportunities in the blue economy by conducting a rigorous content analysis of the literature. The bibliometric technique is employed for the quantitative analysis to understand the study’s quantitative aspects, including citation analysis, network analysis, etc. Databases like Google Scholar and Scopus have been used along with Vos Viewer and the Bibliometrics R package for analysis.
