The study of this paper is mainly aimed at the scheme for the degradation and failure of Plant Computer Information and Control System (KIC). The KIC System is monitored by setting up system monitoring signal. When the KIC system abnormal condition is monitored, an alarm is to be triggered which can remind the operator. And the control of plant can be switched from KIC system to Auxiliary Control Panel (ACP). By this way, the plant can be monitored and controlled by the ACP. In addition, the reduction of available of operator workstations (OWPs) will also affect the function of control and monitor the plant by KIC system. When the minimum OWPs are not met, the operator needs to make a decision to switch plant monitoring and control authority from KIC to ACP. Study of KIC/ACP switching scheme is carried out in this paper. Based on the cabinet function of Distributed Control System (DCS) architecture, a preliminary scheme by 2/3 switching logic is put forward, which provides a stronger guarantee for improving the economy and safety of the nuclear power plants.
