To investigate the impact of social relationships on emergency evacuation, multiple rounds of emergency evacuation tests were conducted under real cabin test environments with various conditions. The test shows that the social relationship has a certain effect on emergency evacuation, and the evacuation time increases as the number of individuals with close personal connections grows. The peer relationship will make some people change their evacuation routes. Those who are located closer to exits will slow down to wait for companions, which will increase the evacuation time. In the emergency evacuation tests, the location of the participants had a greater effect on the speed of emergency evacuation. Gender and age also influence reaction time. Females generally have longer reaction times than males. Reaction time tends to increase with advancing age. The experiment reveals the change rule of emergency evacuation time and speed caused by social relationship, gender, age and location. These findings provide crucial reference data for simulating emergency evacuations in civil aircraft.
