The linkage between well-being and built-environment has been extensively studied. Also, there are numerous studies, which emphasises on the impacts of altered biological cycles on well-being. However, the built-environment can also have impact on the biological rhythms like sleep cycle, activity-rest cycle, or food cycle of human beings though this has been insufficiently explored. A review of existing literature may help future investigators by shedding light on any evidence of the influence of built-environment on biological cycles by considering well-being as the bridge between the aspects of built-environment and biological rhythm. The findings of this research would provide urban planners and designers with newer insights and may enable them to create healthier built-environments. This review looks at literature since last 5 years regarding the association of built-environment, well-being and bio-rhythm, and tries to justify and conclude the link between each other while minimising biases and errors.

摘要
