Screw mechanism is an essential component of the device that transforms rotation into linear motion and vice versa. This study introduces a flexure-based screw mechanism that incorporates two sets of flexures in parallel combination to get constrained screw motion without sliding or rolling contact. Mobility of the mechanism is calculated using screw algebra and validated with FEM simulations. The developed methodology is used to design a flexure-based screw mechanism and fabricated using 3D printing.
