Teacher Education Reform Toward Anthropology: Theoretical Analysis and Practice Paths

Anthropology, as a discipline that studies human lifestyle holistically from the perspective of human and culture, can provide cognitive perspective, intellectual enlightenment, and ethnographic approach for future teachers. The teacher education reform toward Anthropology emphasizes the goal of training teachers who have the ability of culturally responsive education and the introduction of anthropology curriculum. Anthropology plays three roles in the teacher education system: the public basic course, the subject course, and the educational practical course.
