Smart manufacturing has related to a series of emerging technologies such as automation technology, artificial neutral network (ANN), artificial intelligent (AI), industrial robot, smart sensor, simulation tool, engineering prediction, computing technique, internet of thing (IoT), cloud computing, big data, geometric modelling, and sustainability. PVT behavior of polymer material is really important relationship in manufacturing process to fabricate plastic goods for our daily application. PVT behavior presents a closely relationship of specific volume of a material on its pressure and temperature. The PVT behavior is very essential in manufacturing process of polymer material to eliminate defects like warpage and shrinkage that occur during manufacturing process such as injection molding technology. These unwanted defects can control by using simulation tool and experimental method based on the PVT behavior database of polymer material. This paper demonstrates the PVT behavior for smart manufacturing and emerging technologies with critical sections of theory, digital application, smart manufacturing, and stable industrial production. The paper hopes that the results will be apply for more purposes of manufacturing process for developing new materials, simulating process, and producing real products in the near future.
