Using Advanced Sealing Process Technology by the Example of Parts of the Frame of a Traction Battery of Electric Vehicles of Category L in Order to Increase Their Safety

People in modern society are increasingly using electric vehicles. This fact is associated with a number of advantages that electric vehicles and electric motorcycles provide: use of electric energy instead of limited hydrocarbon reserves, absence of harmful emissions into the atmosphere during vehicle operation, simplification of the vehicle design due to stepless torque control. This scientific paper discusses the problems associated with the operation of electric vehicles, in particular cases of ignition or catching fire. The main safety focus of an electric vehicle is to protect high-voltage components from moisture and small solid particles, which leads to a short circuit and ignition of the vehicle. The protection of components and assemblies from moisture and solid particles is provided by sealing and is classified by the degree of protection of the components. Sealing the traction battery pack is the main objective of improving the safety of all types of electric cars and motorcycles.
