Comparative Study Between Different Shapes of Pier and Velocities for Submersible Bridges
摘要
Submersible bridge design demands careful consideration of many different aspects in order to guarantee structural soundness, hydraulic effectiveness, and visual harmony. This research offers a thorough examination of the substructure design for a submersible bridge, including the comparison of various pier shapes and water velocities. The goals are to define important design parameters, investigate alternate pier configurations, and assess how varied water velocities affect the substructure of the underwater bridge pier. Safety considerations, material standards, and load requirements are examples of design criteria. The study looks into how pier shapes—from cut and easy with 80' to rectangular—affect aesthetic appeal, hydraulic efficiency, and structural integrity. In order to fully understand, the consequences of typical flow conditions and possible flood scenarios are also carefully examined.
