PET/CT is an important hybrid imaging modality which has revolutionized all the fields of the imaging. The major important application is the staging and restaging for the oncology, for the evaluation of the various pathologies. This article will discuss the importance of the PET/CT in the evaluation of various pathologies and the concurrence of various imaging modalities into the concept of the multimodality imaging.
