Currently, China’s electric power generation mainly relies on thermal power generation, which results in a great amount of fossil fuel consumption and contributes the largest share of carbon dioxide emissions within the total carbon emissions in China. Therefore, it is evident that achieving carbon emission reduction in the power industry is crucial for achieving the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
