The Way Forward: For an Inclusive and Sustainable Urban Development
摘要
This chapter summarizes the findings and concludes the book by describing the conditions for improving the well-being and empowerment of refugee and asylum-seeking women. It presents the contribution of research to the field and shares suggestions for future research based on the limitations we encountered during this study’s fieldwork. The study concluded that the refugees value participation in generic green skills and social entrepreneurship training, which contribute positively to their lives. However, they feel depowered due to policies and institutions. The study’s contribution can be observed at theoretical and practical levels. The recommendations include easing access to employment and allowing access to non-formal training programs and formal programs such as technical and vocational education and training so that this community can contribute to sustainable urban development in Hong Kong.
