Fourier transform played an important role in solving the problems of partial-differential equations, wavelets, signal processing, and other areas of mathematical sciences and engineering. With the help of the Fourier transform and its inversion formula, solutions of partial-differential equations can be obtained in the form of an integral representation. The integral representation can be used to discuss many problems of pseudo-differential operators, functional analysis, Wavelet analysis , and its applications.
