This chapter explores Shenzhen as a model of urban densification. Through case studies of Baishizhou, Dafen Village, Nantou Ancient Town, and the “Ningmeng Apartment” project, it shows how densification tackles land scarcity, boost living conditions, and fuels economic and cultural growth. The findings highlight that successful regeneration requires tailored strategies and multi-stakeholder collaboration, offering key lessons for sustainable, high-density urban development in rapid growing cities.
