Ethical technologies in education must support, not hinder, human autonomy. We need a paradigm shift from talking about augmenting human intelligence with Artificial Intelligence (AI), to enhancing intelligence with AI in order to develop new skills, enrich our tastes, and expand our faculties and imagination. Interdisciplinary collaboration between science and the humanities is essential to ensure that AI advances truly benefit everyone. With this in mind, there is an urgent need to strengthen education in computer science and the sciences in general, in order to build our free will in the face of the massive arrival of AI.
